scanning date and wedding registry tips

That boy and myself went scanning this past weekend.
We had a blast.
Almost as good as laser tag.

I figured I'd give just a few tips for those of you registering for your big day.

I can't even express how important it is to have energy when you begin registering.
If you go tired you will get lazy and end up getting things you didn't really want!
Don't do that.

Make a list before you go. It will help to keep you on track with what you really want.
We registered at Target and they actually hand you a list when you go in.

TAKE YOUR TIME.
These gifts will be what makes your first home your home.
So take your time, go slow.
Enjoy this scanning date. It's the only one you're gonna get!

Last but not least HAVE FUN.
We even registered for Jenga and cat food.

What? I really like cats.

P.S The Diary of Joshua Tree is now on Facebook. Come like it here.

  1. Take your time! I couldn't agree more. Mr. Schroeder took the scanning thing & went crazy! We got some really weird things. But it was an adventure!

Okay, you are a no reply comment blogger. So I couldn't comment back to your comment on my blog earlier. I suppose I'll write it here? I'm sorry you felt that's how I was coming across. As you probably read on my post, I had a serious boyfriend who was involved in it. I was so supportive. I was extremely willing to help him get through it, but as my bishop advised, I still strongly believe in, "It's the pornography or me." I will not tolerate it. Because I've seen what it can do. I can completely see how it came across that way to you, because I didn't even mention anything about loving them through it. But I added a little paragraph about it. Because I do agree completely with you.

Again, I'm sorry you felt like that was what I was saying. It wasn't. I'm not sure what I said that was "attacking" viewers. I was solely raising awareness. And yes, we are entitled to our own opinion :) Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

    1. I didn't know you couldn't reply on there! That's super weird. But thank you for taking the time to answer. :) I'm glad to hear how you feel. Sometimes it just comes off different on blogging I suppose. That happens to me sometimes too. Maybe attacking was too strong of a weird, I just didn't really feel the loving part of it I guess. But now that you have answered I can tell what you feel about it. So I understand! You're too sweet girl. I love your blog and thank you for raising awareness it's important!
