itsy bitsy not so teeny weeny yellow polka dot....tankini.

I had an issue to deal with this week. Here it is. Wearing a bikini. I bought one for the first time this year. I thought that I was excited to wear it. I was wrong. I wanted it to feel right, but I couldn't get the thought that showing off that much of my body to everyone around me wasn't the right choice for me. I tried to ignore the feeling gnawing at my heart and mind. I couldn't. I started looking up things that I had been taught on dress standards and modesty. I began to seek counsel and opinions from those around me. I attained several different views. My conclusion was all in all. It's a personal decision. After some sweet counsel from my mother and some wise words from one of my YSA friends. I came to my own conclusion. If you can't stop thinking about whether its right or wrong. It's wrong. How grateful I am for the gift of discernment. Heres to Choosing the right. <3

Isn't it still super cute? :)

  4. Modesty FTW!!! Reminds me of http://www.lds.org/ensign/2008/05/video-presentation?lang=eng.
I think sometimes as guys, we don't let girls know how much we appreciate it when they chose to dress modestly.

  6. Anytime! And not just because I despise immodesty (though not necessarily the person(s) who chose that) with a passion. I think sometimes focus needs to be added to positively reinforcing when people are modest, instead of only warning of the don'ts.
